Project / Mechanical Superintendent – Aviation & Fueling Facilities Location: Nationwide (travel required) Company: KEAR Civil Corporation KEAR Civil Corporation is seeking an experienced Project/Mechanical Superintendent to join our fueling and industrial construction project teams. This role requires a proven leader who can oversee complex aviation and petroleum construction projects, ensure safety compliance, manage field operations, and deliver excellence in all phases of construction. Responsibilities • Plan, manage, coordinate, and execute fueling and industrial facility projects in the field. • Provide leadership and administrative support to the project team. • Manage site operations, including budgets, staffing, subcontractor oversight, jobsite organization, and safety compliance. • Direct field personnel to achieve safe, on-time, and budget-compliant project completion. • Prepare, maintain, and update construction schedules; track field productivity and progress. • Review final estimate packages for accuracy and completeness prior to formal quotation. • Assist in preparing RFIs, submittals, and change orders as needed. • Ensure compliance with all jobsite safety standards, including trench safety and fuel operational safety. • Serve as the liaison between clients/owners and KEAR’s project management team, ensuring clear communication, issue resolution, and alignment of project goals. • Represent KEAR professionally, maintaining strong client, subcontractor, and vendor relationships. Qualifications • 5+ years of superintendent or site management experience in aviation fueling, petroleum, or mechanical/industrial projects. • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field may substitute for equivalent experience. • Expertise in construction documents, means & methods, equipment utilization, productivity analysis, scheduling systems, and site safety. • Experience with aviation fueling systems and POL systems, including hydrant systems, fuel farms, pipelines, and gas station/dispenser work. • Knowledge of liquid fuels and terminal operations/maintenance with emphasis on fuel operational safety. • Proficiency with Procore and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook). • Familiarity with submittal, RFI, and change order processes. • Ability to obtain and maintain security badging. • Willingness to travel nationwide.
