Growing company is looking for a Quality Inspector to join the team. This is an in person role – the shift is Monday – Thursday 6 am to 4:30 pm with occasional overtime on Fridays. The Quality Inspector is responsible for ensuring all products meet internal and customer specifications in accordance with aerospace manufacturing standards, including AS9100 requirements. This position plays a critical role in maintaining product integrity through inspection, documentation, and collaboration with production teams to identify and resolve quality-related issues. Key Responsibilities: • Perform in process, first article, final and receiving inspections using standard inspection tools and equipment (micrometers, calipers, height gauges, indicators, etc. • Interpret and inspect engineering drawings, specifications, and work instructions. • Document all inspection results clearly and accurately in accordance with company quality procedures. • Identify, isolate, and report nonconforming materials or processes. • Support corrective and preventive action processes by providing detailed reports of nonconformities. • Participate in root cause analysis and continuous improvement efforts related to quality issues. • Verify special processes, including heat treat, anodize, plating, etc. when required. • Use and maintain precision measuring equipment and ensure calibration is up to date. • Assist with audits (internal, customer, regulatory) and support compliance with AS9100 standards. • Work cross functionally with production, engineering, and quality teams to resolve quality concerns. • Maintain a clean and organized inspection area and follow all safety protocols. Requirements: • High school diploma or GED; additional technical training or certifications in Quality or inspection preferred. • Minimum 3 years’ experience in quality inspection in an aerospace or precision machining environment • Strong understanding of AS9100 or ISO 9001 quality management systems • Proficient in reading and interpreting technical drawings, including GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) • Ability to use a wide range of inspection equipment and tools. • Strong attention to detail and excellent documentation skills • Comfortable working in a fast-paced team-oriented environment • Effective communication skills and ability to work with minimal supervision. Preferred Qualifications • Experience with CMM Coordinate Measuring Maching – inspection and software. • Familiarity with ERP or quality management systems for data entry and tracking (e.g., Net-Inspect, UniPoint, etc) • Precious experience supporting AS9100 audits and compliance initiatives. • Work Environment • Manufacturing floor and inspection lab env • May require standing for extended periods and lifting parts up to 35 lbs. • Use of PPE and adherence to safety guidelines is mandatory.
