With a strong emphasis on execution excellence, client trust, and long-term partnerships, the organization is investing in leadership to further scale its Public Sector (Government & Education) vertical across the United States Role Overview We are seeking a senior P&L leader to serve as Vertical Head / Business Unit Head – Public Sector, responsible for end-to-end ownership of a $75M–$100M revenue portfolio spanning State & Local Government, Federal, and Higher Education clients. This role carries full accountability for revenue growth, margin, client relationships, sales strategy, delivery governance, and team leadership, and will play a critical role in shaping the company’s public sector go-to-market strategy Key Responsibilities Strategic Leadership & P&L Ownership • Own full P&L responsibility for the Public Sector vertical, including revenue growth, profitability, forecasting, and cost optimization. • Define and execute the multi-year growth strategy for Government and Education markets across the U.S. • Build scalable operating models aligned to public sector procurement, compliance, and contracting norms. Sales, Growth & Client Partnerships • Drive new logo acquisition and account expansion across State, Local, Federal, and Education institutions. • Develop and maintain CXO-level relationships with CIOs, CISOs, CTOs, procurement leaders, and agency heads. • Oversee large, complex pursuits including RFP/RFQ/RFI responses, contract negotiations, and renewals. • Collaborate closely with sales, alliances, and solution teams to position differentiated IT services offerings. Delivery & Execution Excellence • Provide executive oversight to program delivery, ensuring SLA adherence, risk mitigation, and client satisfaction. • Partner with delivery and operations leaders to ensure successful execution of multi-year managed services and transformation programs. • Drive continuous improvement in delivery quality, governance, and utilization. Talent & Organization Leadership • Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing leadership team across sales, delivery, and operations. • Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and customer centricity. • Support workforce planning aligned to growth, skill demand, and public sector compliance requirements. Governance, Compliance & Ecosystem Management • Ensure adherence to public sector regulations, security standards, and compliance requirements. • Build and manage strategic alliances with OEMs, cloud providers, and ecosystem partners relevant to government and education sectors. Qualifications & Experience Required • 15+ years of progressive experience in IT services, digital transformation, or technology consulting. • Demonstrated success leading a Public Sector business unit or vertical with $75M–$100M+ revenue responsibility. • Strong background selling and delivering IT services to Government (Federal/State/Local) and/or Education clients. • Proven P&L ownership with consistent track record of revenue growth and margin improvement. • Deep understanding of public sector procurement, contracting, and compliance environments. • Executive presence with the ability to engage credibly at C-suite and agency leadership levels. Preferred • Experience with large-scale managed services, application modernization, cloud, data, ERP, or digital platforms. • Exposure to complex, multi-vendor ecosystems and strategic partnerships. • Experience operating within a global delivery model.
