Job Summary We are seeking a detail-oriented Part-time Accountant to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical accounting skills, experience with various accounting software, and a solid understanding of financial concepts. The Part-time Accountant will be responsible for managing financial records, preparing reports, and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and standards. Duties • Prepare and analyze financial statements in Quickbooks Online • Perform account reconciliation, including bank reconciliations and general ledger reconciliation • Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes • Conduct cash flow analysis and assist with budgeting and forecasting activities • Record journal entries accurately using QuickBooks • Support month-end and year-end closing procedures • Assist with regulatory reporting and audit preparations • Maintain accurate records of debits & credits, double entry bookkeeping, and other financial transactions • Administer payroll twice per month from our studio timesheets and break out employment costs by location. • Interpret financial reports to provide insights for management decision-making • Ensure compliance with SOX, LIHTC, securities law, governmental accounting standards, and other relevant regulations • Create P&L, balance sheet, retained earnings, and EBITDA monthly statements Qualifications • Proven experience in corporate accounting, non-profit accounting, or public accounting environments • Strong knowledge of GAAP, accrual accounting, and financial management principles • Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks Online • Familiarity with financial concepts including balance sheet reconciliation, journal entries, account analysis, and financial report writing • Experience with regulatory reporting requirements and auditing procedures • Knowledge of tax regulations and experience with payroll processing is a plus • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data and prepare detailed reports • Strong attention to detail coupled with effective organizational skills • Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities in a part-time capacity This position provides an engaging opportunity for professionals seeking flexible work arrangements while applying their expertise in diverse accounting functions.
