Katten is a full-service law firm with approximately 700 attorneys in locations across the United States and in London and Shanghai. Clients seeking sophisticated, high-value legal services turn to Katten for counsel locally, nationally and internationally. The firm’s core areas of practice include corporate, financial markets and funds, insolvency and restructuring, intellectual property, litigation, real estate, structured finance and securitization, transactional tax planning, private credit and private wealth. Katten represents public and private companies in numerous industries, as well as a number of government and nonprofit organizations and individuals. Content and Campaign Manager The Content and Campaign Manager develops and executes multi-channel marketing campaigns that showcase Katten’s expertise, strengthen its brand, and drive measurable engagement. This role connects storytelling, strategy, and analytics, transforming firm priorities into dynamic content and campaigns that perform across digital, social, and PR channels. Collaborating closely with multiple members of the Marketing and Business Development (MBD) team and other firm stakeholders, this individual ensures Katten’s content and campaigns are high-quality, targeted, coordinated, and measurable against business and marketing goals. This position also supports written and multimedia content initiatives that may include advisories, thought leadership, podcasts, and video for assigned practices. Katten offers a hybrid work model, allowing the flexibility to work both on-site and remotely on a regular basis (KattenFlex). This position requires onsite presence twice a month and otherwise on an as needed basis. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include, but may not be limited to, the following. Content Production & Management Creates and adapts content for campaign assets including reports, ebooks, feature stories, digital copy, and profile content that highlight the firm’s market strengths and differentiators. Works well creating content individually and in partnership with peers on the Content and PR teams. Leads development of content across formats and channels for assigned practices, including but not limited to advisories, newsletters, blog posts, attorney biographies, annual reports, and practice descriptions. Produces and manages audio/video content, including podcast and video planning, recording, editing, distribution, and promotion; support attorneys by developing scripts, question guides, and promotional assets. Applies SEO/AEO best practices to content planning and execution, including keyword research and on-page optimization to improve discoverability. Copyedits and quality-checks content for accuracy, clarity, brand voice, and adherence to editorial standards. Campaign Planning & Execution Develops and maintains an integrated campaign playbook, including standard processes, timelines, and best practices. Plans and executes integrated campaigns for practices and industries in partnership with Content and MBD team members. Collaborates with MBD team members to translate firm and practice initiatives into campaign narratives across targeted marketing channels. Manages campaign timelines, deliverables, and messaging frameworks to align with firm priorities. Partners with design and digital teams to develop creative and optimize content performance. Performance & Optimization Defines campaign KPIs and tracks results through GA4, email analytics, and social dashboards working closely with the Marketing Technology team. Analyzes data to provide actionable insights and recommendations for improving performance. Shares campaign learnings across the MBD team to inform future initiatives and content planning. Collaboration & Coordination Serves as a hub connecting MBD, PR, Digital Marketing, and Content to ensure campaigns are consistent, timely, and integrated. Coordinates with practice leaders, BD managers, and events staff to align campaign execution with client-facing opportunities. Manages freelance writers or vendors as needed to support campaign deliverables. Supervisory Responsibilities May supervise one or multiple direct reports. Provides informal guidance to peers and junior team members. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, Journalism, or related field. 7 or more years of experience in content marketing, campaign management, or communications, ideally in a law firm or professional services setting. Demonstrated success developing multi-channel campaigns that drive measurable engagement and visibility. Strong writing and editing skills with a focus on narrative development and brand alignment. Proven ability to successfully collaborate across teams and manage multiple priorities simultaneously. Familiarity with SEO, analytics platforms (GA4, social tools), and digital publishing systems. Articulate with exceptional interpersonal and communication skills to establish effective working relationships with all levels of firm personnel. Ability and willingness to work in-office twice each month at a minimum for department meetings and other collaborative efforts. Ability to occasionally retrieve and distribute files, written documentation, or office supplies weighing up to 10 pounds. Travel to other firm locations is required when necessary. The annualized salary range for this position in our Washington D.C. office is $130,000 to $150,000. Actual pay will be adjusted based on experience and other job-related factors permitted by law.
