Systems Integration Engineer We are seeking a skilled Systems Integration Engineer to lead the migration and integration of acquired systems into our standard server hardware environment. This role will involve close collaboration with Dell for the setup of server hardware, SAN, and iDRAC, as well as the installation of VMware ESXi and vSphere. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in VMware virtualization, with additional proficiency in Dell server and SAN technologies. Familiarity with Hyper-V and Windows clustering will be advantageous. Responsibilities: • Work closely with Dell technicians to rack, stack, and perform initial setup of Dell server hardware, SAN (Storage Area Network), and iDRAC (Integrated Dell Remote Access Controller). • Install, configure, and optimize VMware ESXi hypervisor and vSphere virtualization platform. • Plan and execute the migration of both physical and virtual machines from existing environments to the new VMware instance. • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless integration and performance optimization of VMware environments. • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to server hardware, SAN, and VMware deployments. • Document configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps for knowledge sharing and future reference. Required Skills: • Proven experience with VMware virtualization technologies, including ESXi and vSphere. • Familiarity with Dell server hardware and SAN technologies. • Experience in migrating both physical and virtual machines between different virtualization platforms. • Strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to analyze and resolve technical issues independently. • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams. • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a dynamic environment. Preferred Skills: • Knowledge of Hyper-V virtualization and Windows clustering. • VMware certifications (e.g., VCP-DCV) are a plus.
