Full Description

A privately held, industry-leading manufacturer is seeking a Product Configuration Specialist to support the configuration, pricing, and quoting of highly customizable products. This role plays a key part in delivering an exceptional customer experience by leveraging Epicor CPQ (formerly KBMax) to streamline sales, engineering, and manufacturing workflows. In this position, you will configure, maintain, and optimize a cloud-based CPQ platform, working closely with sales, engineering, and IT teams to ensure seamless integration across ERP, CRM, and CAD systems. The ideal candidate enjoys solving complex configuration challenges and improving both customer-facing and internal processes. Minimum Qualifications • 2+ years of experience working with CPQ software, ideally Epicor CPQ (KBMax) • Background in manufacturing, particularly engineer-to-order (ETO) or configure-to-order (CTO) environments • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to troubleshoot configuration logic and optimize system performance • Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and train non-technical users Preferred Qualifications • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, IT, or a related field • Experience with Epicor CPQ’s Snap rules engine or similar logic-based configuration tools • Basic understanding of CAD automation and API integrations • Familiarity with sales processes, pricing strategies, and manufacturing workflows for complex products • Experience with SolidWorks, AutoCAD, 3D visualization tools, or cloud-based software administration Key Responsibilities • CPQ Configuration & Customization: Design and implement product configurators using Epicor CPQ’s visual rules engine to define product options, pricing logic, and manufacturing constraints, including 2D/3D visualizations • Quote Automation: Build and maintain workflows that automatically generate quotes, proposals, bills of materials (BOMs), and CAD outputs based on customer configurations • System Integration: Partner with IT to integrate Epicor CPQ with ERP, CRM, and CAD platforms to ensure accurate and efficient data flow across sales and production • User Support & Training: Provide ongoing support and training to sales teams, distributors, and end users to ensure effective adoption of CPQ tools • Process Optimization: Continuously improve sales cycle efficiency and manufacturing accuracy by refining CPQ rules, pricing models, and document generation processes • Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve CPQ-related technical issues, minimizing downtime and ensuring output accuracy • Analytics & Reporting: Leverage CPQ analytics to track usage, identify trends, and recommend improvements to product offerings and pricing strategies • Documentation: Maintain clear documentation for configurations, workflows, and integrations to support scalability and compliance
