ABOUT THE ROLE: Skechers has an exciting opening for a Sr. IT Portfolio Manager to play a key role in supporting the overall Skechers Project Management Lifecycle process and the continued digital transformation of IT. This individual will lead the Portfolio Management Office (PMO) team within IT Business Operations and oversee all aspects of the IT project portfolio. The Portfolio Manager will work closely and partner with the Director of IT Project Management, IT leadership, and their teams to ensure there are clear processes, tools and KPI’s in place to help guide and measure the IT project portfolio. The Sr. Portfolio Manager provides thought leadership in resolving issues and mitigating risks to ensure that programs and projects are completed on time, within budget and to specifications. This position involves coordinating cross-functional delivery teams and effectively managing resource plans to balance the team's workloads. The candidate will ensure adoption of established portfolio management practices, and instill a culture of execution, operational excellence, and accountability. The ideal candidate would have experience in all aspects of project management and thrive in a fast-paced collaborative environment where team efficiency is critical to our success. WHAT YOU'LL DO: Key responsibilities include supporting IT department heads with long-range planning and the development of multi-year technology roadmaps to ensure IT is successfully executing/delivering key IT programs and projects in support of IT's multi-year roadmap and strategic goals. Assist IT leadership and partner closely to facilitate joint planning sessions with IT project teams and business owners in evaluating and proposing solutions to ensure readiness for governance decisions Work closely with the Director of Project Management and the IT project teams to schedule resources, track budgets, milestones, timelines, and other KPIs around IT projects to ensure proper visibility is applied to all IT projects Optimize the overall project portfolio, balance capacity against demand, and connect plans and resources to project execution Enable effective decision making to maximize investment, drive business value and provide transparency of portfolio-related decisions In partnership with IT leadership, manage and support the IT roadmap ensuring projects and initiatives align to the IT and Business strategic goals and KPI’s Manage the Portfolio Management team and operational processes including but not limited to: Request/Intake process Project prioritization Project approval Project tracking and management Portfolio management standards and governance Portfolio management tool maintenance Project Change Requests (PCR) Partner with the Director of Project Management Perform financial analysis on all project budgets and work with project managers/teams to prepare various financial reports for all budget and forecast deliverables. Create a collaborative partnership among IT leaders and portfolio stakeholders, and enable resource demand planning, change management, and project pipeline planning decisions Work with business and technical owners, functional leaders, and project managers to identify project interrelationships that will affect project priority and resource allocation decisions Continuously look for process improvement and tools to further evolve the Portfolio Management Office and the use of industry best practices Actively champion portfolio management best practices to drive better project planning, delivery and change management Consistently deliver high-quality results. Understand principles of the matrix organizational model and operate within that framework Assist in identifying client needs and alternative business solutions. Assist in the facilitation of team and client meetings Deliver informative, well-organized presentations Manage, lead, coach and develop 2 IT Portfolio Analysts WHAT YOU'LL BRING: Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in IT Project Management, Business Analysis and client leadership required with experience managing large, interdependent integration efforts, requiring proactive leadership and risk management B.S./B.A. Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or related field, or technical degree required. A Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Computer Science, Engineering, or related discipline, or equivalent work experience and technical training At least 5-7 years’ experience with industry-wide portfolio management tools ITIL (Information Technology Infrastructure Library) concepts, and framework a plus Project Management certification not required but, considered a plus Strong problem-solving and decision-making skill Strong quantitative and analytical skills Strong understanding of project development methodologies Ability to effectively negotiate and facilitate problem resolution Commitment to client satisfaction Attentive to detail but able to see the big picture Experience with all Microsoft Office products – especially Excel ServiceNow experience a plus Smartsheet experience a plus Ability to support the adoption of new tools and processes to track and analyze projects (tools TBD) REQUIRMENTS: Good English communication skills with an ability to discuss technical issues with non-technical people Strong familiarity with project management methodologies including Waterfall & Agile (Kanban or Scrum) Experience with managing external supplier-led initiatives Working experience in different software development methodologies Strong understanding of IT operations and experience working with multiple teams to develop strategies and deliver solutions Strong relationship management skills to establish and build healthy working relations and partnerships with internal and external stakeholders Financial experience and familiarity with budgetary planning and cost reporting Ability to provide business/financial advice on all project and business management related matters Proven leadership experience including knowledge of approaches, tools, and techniques for gaining the cooperation and support of others Proven track record in previous roles with strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize multiple projects and initiatives at the same time The pay range for this position is $135,000-$175,000/yr USD.
