Extensive experience in construction and project management, but lacking civil engineering, technical, and industry-specific skills required for land development.
Summary Our client is a leading general contractor in the Charlotte, NC area and they are in immediate need of an experienced Project Manager to join their Land Development division. Duties & Responsibilities • Develop scope, schedule, budget, and coordinate with internal and external sub-consultants. • Conduct periodic design team meetings to inform and resolve issues. • Ensure accurate and timely billings to clients and make accounts receivable a priority. • Perform QC reviews and coordinate QA process by company policy. • Assist in formulating plans, cost estimates, timeframes, and specifications of projects. Qualifications & Requirements • Must possess a BS Degree in Civil Engineering or related field • Civil 3D experience is a plus • A minimum of 10 years’ experience and PE required (reciprocity in 3 months acceptable) • Demonstrated experience with residential, commercial, mixed-use, and/or industrial site development projects • Demonstrated business development and marketing experience including writing proposals, scopes of work, and budgets for projected work. • Strong communication, interpersonal, and supervisory skills. • Analytical skills with the ability to prepare statistical reports. • Ability to work well independently and on a team. • Ability to communicate ideas and technical information to staff, supervisors, and clients in a professional manner. • Must have strong leadership skills with ability to mentor younger staff • Must have ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with project team and client • Ability to delegate and follow-up efficiently • Ability to travel as necessary to meet the needs of the position. Valid Driver’s License Required.
