Full Description

The Judge Group has partnered with a manufacturer with locations in New York and New Jersey looking for a Regulatory Compliance Specialist for their team. This role does not offer relocation assistance and candidates can be located near the Roselle Park area or the Roosevelt NY area. This role is onsite 5-days a week and has very limited travel. This job will have the following responsibilities: • Monitor and interpret regulations from agencies such as FDA, USDA, FSIS, GFSI, and local health departments, and ensure ongoing compliance. • Develop, implement, and maintain regulatory compliance programs and SOPs related to food safety, labeling, packaging, and ingredient usage. • Review and approve product labels, ingredient statements, and marketing claims to ensure compliance with applicable food laws and standards. • Coordinate internal and external audits, including preparing documentation and facilitating inspections from regulatory bodies and certifying organizations. • Collaborate with R&D, QA, production, and supply chain teams to ensure compliance during product development, formulation changes, and new product launches. • Investigate and respond to compliance-related complaints, incidents, or product withdrawals/recalls, and implement corrective actions as necessary. • Maintain records and reports related to regulatory submissions, audit outcomes, and corrective actions. Qualifications & Requirements: • Associates Degree Required in Food Science or Related • Bachelors Degree Preferred in Food Science or Related • 2+ years of Regulatory Compliance experience • Food industry required #JDP
