Job Overview As a Sales Associate, your main goal will be to create a memorable, hassle-free shopping experience for our customers. Building genuine, long-lasting relationships is at the core of our mission—encouraging customers to come back and shop with us time and again. We are seeking a motivated and customer-oriented Sales Associate to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for retail and a strong commitment to providing exceptional customer service. As a Sales Associate, you will play a key role in driving sales, assisting customers, and maintaining an inviting shopping environment. Your responsibilities will include engaging with customers, managing inventory, and ensuring that the store is well-stocked and organized. Duties • Provide outstanding customer service by greeting customers, answering questions, and addressing concerns. • Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system efficiently for transactions, including cashiering and cash handling. • Assist with stocking shelves, merchandising products, and maintaining store displays to enhance the shopping experience. • Conduct product demonstrations to educate customers about features and benefits. • Utilize effective phone etiquette when handling customer inquiries or calls. • Engage in upselling techniques to promote additional products or services. • Supervise junior staff when necessary, providing guidance and support in their roles. • Maintain knowledge of current promotions and sales to assist customers effectively. • Ensure compliance with retail math principles for accurate inventory management. Requirements • Previous experience in retail sales or customer service is preferred. • Familiarity with basic math skills for handling transactions and inventory counts. • Experience with cash handling and operating a POS system is essential. • Strong communication skills to interact effectively with customers and team members. • Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment while also being self-motivated. • Supervising experience is a plus but not mandatory. • A background in grocery store operations is beneficial but not required.
