Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience, 1-5 years of IT experience, preferably with Microsoft and ITIL certifications, and ability to work outside normal hours.

If you are, then Jones Day may be the firm for you. Summary of Essential Duties and Responsibilities: The IT Level 2/3 Support Specialist provides support for the Firm’s systems as assigned. The Support Specialist is responsible for advanced troubleshooting of incidents and fulfilling requests escalated from the Help Desk, and other IT teams, communicating with end-users, documenting known technical issues, interfacing with various groups within IT, and participating in Firm technology projects as requested. The Specialist must have excellent documentation skills.The Specialist works under the direction of the IT Level 2/3 Support Coordinator on daily support assignments and under the direction of the assigned Project Leader or Project Manager for initiatives of larger scope. The Specialist accepts responsibility for technical problem troubleshooting on assigned systems/applications. The Specialist consults Knowledge Base, Known Articles and monitoring tools to resolve issues or escalate to IT Teams in a timely manner. The Specialist works successfully in an environment of constantly evolving and rapidly changing hardware and software technology. The Specialist maintains and upgrades skills through ongoing education and self-study. The Specialist must be able to work and communicate effectively with team members, department staff, and users and must also demonstrate the ability to work on multiple problems/projects in parallel with changing priorities and periodic stress-oriented situations. Additional hours may be required, as necessary. Work hours are 4:00 AM - 2:00 PM, on Sundays; and 7:00 AM - 5:30 PM, Monday - Wednesday. Required Qualifications: • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent work experience. • One (1) to five (5) years of general technology experience. • Any Microsoft Certification is a plus (i.e., MCSA), as is prior work in a law firm or other professional services organization. • Any ITIL certification preferred. • Must be able to complete projects and assignments outside normal business hours as deemed necessary to meet the Firm’s objectives.
