Job Profile Summary: Responsible for leading and coaching Branch Operations Directors to ensure all sales, customer, personnel, and inventory issues are handled in a professional and timely manner. In addition, this position is responsible for ensuring the branch location is in compliance with corporate policies, initiatives, and governmental regulations. Location Required to live in one of the markets that this position will oversee: Virginia, North Carolina, Rhode Island, and Florida. Job Duties & Responsibilities: Deliver Results Deliver the AOP (annual operating plan) Deliver high level operations metrics for branches Drive decisions based on financials Serve as escalation point for branches Help local leaders develop solutions and solve complex challenges Help branches meet and maintain people plans and to adjust plans as needed Drive Engagement Help develop strategies to drive retention Ensure execution of engagement action planning Capital planning Develop capital planning and project work for all assigned branches Develop the team Train local operations directors Ensure other branch leaders are appropriately trained Identify high potential directors / managers / supervisors Implement developmental plans for leaders Serve as liaison with central teams (routing / transportation / IT etc.) Identify and roll out key projects Support technology implementation Identification and escalation of issues Collaborate with Commercial partners on all changes and projects Influence GMs to drive operational goals and expectations Back up when Operations Director is out Cover for Ops Director PTO Drive common processes between branches Develop and drive best practices Branch Visits Develop cadence Establish connections and relationships with GMs and Regional Directors Utilize a common visit check list and apply common standards Required Qualifications: Skills & Abilities Prior success at the Operations Director level or above. Experience in direct store delivery businesses. Experience with both pick to pallet and conveyer warehouse Proven leadership experience with the ability to develop and motivate a team. Ability to lead leaders at multiple sites. Excellent professional communication skills. Strong Word and Excel experience required; AS400 experience desired. Ability to manage competing demands and deal with frequent change, delays, or unexpected events. Ability to interact with all functional areas and organizational levels, often in stressful situations. Exceptional problem-solving skills. Strong negotiation, influencing and analytical skills. Years of Experience Overall business acumen with 8+ years of applicable experience; must have knowledge and experience managing office, warehouse, delivery and facility functions.
