Job Overview We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant / Bookkeeper to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will possess strong expertise in accounting principles, financial software, and bookkeeping practices. This role involves managing financial records, preparing reports, and ensuring compliance with GAAP standards. The successful applicant will demonstrate proficiency in multiple accounting software platforms . This is a full-time position that requires accuracy, integrity, and a solid understanding of financial concepts. Responsibilities • Maintain accurate financial records through bookkeeping and general ledger accounting • Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and balance sheet reconciliations • Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes efficiently • Conduct bank reconciliations and ensure accuracy of financial data • Assist with payroll processing and related tax filings • Support budgeting activities and financial report writing for management review • Ensure compliance with GAAP standards and governmental accounting regulations when applicable • Perform double entry bookkeeping to ensure the integrity of financial data • Analyze accounts for discrepancies or issues requiring resolution • Utilize various accounting software and other financial tools to streamline processes • Assist with audit preparations and provide supporting documentation as needed • Maintain confidentiality of sensitive financial information at all times Requirements • Proven experience in accounting or bookkeeping roles with familiarity in corporate, non-profit, or governmental accounting environments • Strong knowledge of GAAP standards and financial concepts including debits & credits, journal entries, general ledger reconciliation, and account analysis • Proficiency in accounting software and other relevant tools • Experience with bank reconciliation, account reconciliation, payroll processing, and tax preparation is preferred • Excellent understanding of double entry bookkeeping principles and financial report writing skills • Ability to perform 10 key typing accurately for data entry tasks • Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy in all work performed • Good organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently • Knowledge of budgeting processes and financial analysis techniques is desirable • Create, Store & Send Invoices as needed • Professional certification (e.g., CPA or CMA) is a plus but not required This role offers an engaging environment for professionals passionate about finance and accounting.
