• Flexibility to work weekends is preferred. • Position is located in Fort Myers JOB TITLE: Property Care Manager JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY: The Property Care Manager is responsible for overseeing the overall maintenance and quality of vacation rental properties. This includes property inspections (arrival, departure, deep clean), managing relationships with maintenance vendors and cleaning staff, and ensuring the highest level of service for guests and property owners. The role requires strong organizational, problem-solving, and follow-through skills. REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS: This position reports to the General Manager of John R. Wood Properties RESPONSIBLITIES: The responsibilities of this position include the following but not limited to: • Conduct property inspections upon arrival, departure, and annually • Supervise and coordinate daily activities of maintenance and cleaning staff • Assess and schedule necessary repairs and maintenance • Ensure quality assurance standards are maintained • Communicate effectively with guests, property owners, and vendors to address concerns • Manage special projects, administrative tasks, and vendor relations • Provide after-hours phone coverage 2-4 nights per week • Handle guest and owner inquiries and resolve issues • Manage housekeeping and maintenance operations, including scheduling and vendor coordination • Perform and oversee property care tasks, such as updating lockboxes, maintaining key inventories, and completing light maintenance tasks • Coordinate storm preparations and inspections, and report to property owners • Organize larger renovation projects when necessary (e.g., after major hurricanes) • Create weekly cleaning schedules and linen orders • Maintain and update property records in the property management system (Streamline) • Ensure the condo watch and concierge programs are executed efficiently, including property inspections and communication with owners • Perform audits of property items (e.g., bedding, AC filters, internet, light bulbs) • Provide office coverage including greeting guest, phone coverage, taking reservations, and other property management functions • Able to run errands REQUIREMENTS: • High School Diploma or equivalent • Flexibility to work weekends as well as cover after-hours phone calls 2-4 days a week. • Minimum of 2 years of experience in housekeeping or maintenance in hospitality or a related industry (experience in vacation rentals is a plus) • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills • Must work weekends, with weekdays off, and some holidays • Ability to work in all weather conditions and perform tasks such as prolonged walking, standing, sitting, and lifting up to 20 pounds • Must be reliable, timely, and able to work independently in a fast-paced environment • Reliable transportation required SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS: • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities • Able to perform minor maintenance tasks • Proficiency in Outlook, Word, Excel, and internet applications (experience with property management software is a plus) • Knowledge of OHSA safety standards and guidelines • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written • High attention to detail and a problem-solving mindset Job Type: Full-time Pay: $49,000.00 - $55,000.00 per year Benefits: • 401(k) • 401(k) matching • Dental insurance • Health insurance • Life insurance • Paid time off • Vision insurance Application Question(s): • This position requires weekend work shifts with weekdays off as your regular schedule, will you be able to work weekends?
