Event Coordinator, Private Dining Restaurant: Joe Muer Seafood (Fine Dining) Location: Detroit, MI Employment Type: Full-time (Primarily M-F Mornings) The Role Joe Muer Seafood seeks an organized and professional Event Coordinator to manage the full booking and administrative planning cycle for private and semi-private dining events. This key role drives private dining revenue by efficiently handling client relations and sales during dedicated morning business hours (M-F), maintaining the high standards of a luxury fine-dining experience. Core Responsibilities The Coordinator is responsible for the end-to-end event booking cycle. This includes monitoring phones and emails for inquiries, managing the sales pipeline from initial contact to contract, and converting leads into signed bookings. You will consult with clients on space, menus, and packages. Operationally, you will liaise directly with the Day Manager for staffing needs and communicate with the Host and FOH team to finalize seating, guest counts, and special requests. Meticulous record-keeping of all contracts, deposits, and client correspondence is mandatory. Requirements • Minimum of 2 years of experience in event coordination or hospitality sales, preferably in a fine dining or upscale setting. • Proven ability to meet sales targets and convert leads. • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills and professional phone/email demeanor. • Proficiency with scheduling/CRM software (e.g., TripleSeat, Gather). • Ability to work independently and maintain consistent workflow during dedicated Monday–Friday morning hours.
