I am currently working with a fast-growing fintech is looking to hire a Credit Strategy Lead to drive strategy for a consumer lending product. This role focuses on optimizing underwriting, pricing, and loan structures using data-driven insights. You'll be responsible for designing and testing credit strategies, running experiments, and collaborating across teams to improve product performance and investor returns. It's a highly analytical, cross‑functional role with direct impact on business growth. The ideal candidate has 5-7+ years of experience in credit risk or lending analytics, particularly in first-line credit decisioning or pricing across installment loans, personal loans, credit cards, or similar unsecured/consumer lending products, and is proficient in Python, SQL, and Excel. Experience with BI tools like Tableau or PowerBI is a plus. Key Responsibilities: • Develop and refine credit strategies across underwriting, pricing, and loan terms • Design and execute champion/challenger tests to evaluate strategy performance • Conduct scenario modeling and financial impact analysis • Collaborate with data science, product, marketing, and finance teams • Support credit model development and implementation • Monitor portfolio performance to maintain risk and return targets Qualifications: • 5-7+ years in credit risk or lending analytics, with experience in first‑line credit decisioning/pricing for installment loans, personal loans, credit cards, or comparable products • Proficiency in Python, SQL, and Excel • Experience with BI tools (e.g., Tableau, PowerBI) preferred • Strong analytical and communication skills • Ability to work independently and cross‑functionally in a fast‑paced environment • Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field such as Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, Economics, or related discipline; Master's degree preferred
