They are seeking a Certified Project Manager III to lead business intelligence and software/application development projects for their business partners, ensuring successful project completion and collaboration with various state departments. The role requires strong project management skills and experience in managing complex projects. Responsibilities • Be responsible for technical and overall project management on enterprise-wide business intelligence, software/application development, and infrastructure/ architecture projects. • Works closely with the project sponsor and IT senior management to understand and prioritize project tasks. • Solve complex technical problems. • Understands business objectives and problems, identifies alternative solutions, performs feasibility studies and cost/benefit analysis of alternatives in support of enterprise-wide business intelligence. • Build an effective team and direct the work of the project team to meet project milestones. • Develops standards, policies and procedures for the form, structure and attributes of the business intelligence documentation, tools, and systems. • Develops data/information quality metrics. • Develop and maintain project charters, plans, deliverables, and other project artifacts. • Research new technology and develop business cases to support enterprise-wide business intelligence solutions. • Participate in special projects as required. Skills • 12+ years of project management experience with leading large and complex database management systems, business intelligence tools and systems. • 5+ years of change management experience. • 12+ years of in depth knowledge of System development life cycle deliverables for each phase of development. • 12+ years of demonstrated competence in promoting understanding and cooperation within and between organizations. • 12+ years of group facilitation experience. • 10+ years of experience in technical writing and documentation. • 10+ years of analytical/problem solving skills. • 10+ years of excellent oral and written communication skills. • 10+ years of experience with Excel (MS). • 10+ years of experience with Outlook. • 10+ years of experience with MS Office Products. • 3+ years of experience with MS Project. • 5+ years of expertise in implementation of large, complicated models and processes. • 10 years of excellent organization, analytical and communication skills. • 12+ years of strong verbal communications skills with ability to clearly present information and ideas to groups. • 5+ years of experience in user test, system test and user acceptance test plans. • 5+ years of experience in data analysis. • 5+ years of experience with Informatica. • 5+ years of Data Warehouse experience in data warehouse design and development. • 5+ years of experience in requirements gathering for data warehouse. • 5+ years of in-depth knowledge of system development life cycle deliverables for each phase of development. • 5+ years of experience in requirements analysis. • 5+ years of experience in requirements gathering. • 12+ years of experience in Scope & Risk Management. • 5+ years of experience with Business Objects or other BI tools. • 10+ years of previous experience working with customers to solve problems and support their needs. • 3+ years of experience with MS Project. • 5+ years of knowledge of Kimball data warehouse design principals. • 3+ years of demonstrated experience in the design and utilization of performance measures and reports. • Previous experience with State of Wisconsin Privacy Regulations.
