Our client, Trigent Solutions, is seeking a skilled Front-End Java Developer to support a major re-skinning effort of an existing application, focusing on modernizing the user interface using Java and front-end technologies. Responsibilities • Implement a new front-end design into existing JSP and tag files. • Modernize UI/UX elements using CSS, HTML, and native JavaScript/JQuery. • Ensure smooth integration with the existing back-end application (Java, MVC, Struts, Tomcat). • Collaborate with the team to migrate old JSP Expression Language (EL) tags to align with the new design. • Utilize Git and Maven for version control and build management. • Work with Oracle relational databases as needed to support front-end functionality. • Maintain clean, reusable, and efficient code while ensuring performance and cross-browser compatibility. Skills • 4 6 years of software development experience. • Strong expertise in front-end technologies: CSS (expert level), HTML, native JavaScript, and JQuery. • Proficiency in Java and related frameworks (MVC, Struts). • Experience with Tomcat, Git, Maven, and Oracle RDBMS. • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. • Ability to work independently and efficiently in a part-time capacity. • Familiarity with Kuali (training will be provided if needed).
