Role: Data Engineer Strong Java and kafka Exp Location Mountain View, CA Project Duration: Short-term (2 months initially, may get extended) Exp: 15+ years Skills Required: Strong Data Engineering skills along with Java and Kafka experience Required Skills: • Strong understanding of ETL process. Knowledge of an ETL vendor is a plus. • Understanding of data first mindset - good knowledge of databases. • Strong coding skills - Java/Python. Either is fine, we can work with it. • Strong understanding of Javascript - around data manipulation, expression libraries and JS syntax • Very strong documentation skills - we are a platform team starting new so everything must be documented in a clear way • Self starter and must work in an agile environment.
