Responsibilities • Lead the design, development, and deployment of backend systems and APIs using Python • Architect scalable, secure, and high-performance infrastructure to support crypto-based energy solutions • Collaborate closely with product, frontend, and blockchain teams to define and deliver new features • Own technical decision-making and guide backend engineering best practices across the team • Drive code quality through code reviews, automated testing, and documentation • Optimize backend systems for reliability, scalability, and performance in a fast-paced startup environment • Stay current with emerging technologies in crypto, distributed systems, and backend architecture Job Details Requirements • Bachelor’s degree and 5+ years of experience developing backend software applications in Python, ideally within SaaS, fintech, startup, or product-driven environments • High ownership, detail-orientation, and a proactive, self-directed work style • Experience with Django is preferred, also open to Flask or Fast API • Experience setting up CI/CDs and managing • Cloud experience with GCP or AWS • Experience working with databases such as Postgres • Experience building APIs and Microservices • Interest in crypto Bonus Points • Previous experience working at a crypto exchange or DeFi company is a plus • Exposure to LLM workflows, or other AI-native systems is a plus • Node, TypeScript, React are a plus Interested in hearing more?
