Job Details We are seeking an experienced Structural Project Manager to lead and oversee the design and execution of structural engineering projects, with a strong emphasis on educational facilities including K–12 schools, colleges, and universities. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in managing complex structural projects from concept through construction, ensuring high-quality deliverables, technical excellence, and client satisfaction. Key Responsibilities: Manage all phases of structural engineering projects, including planning, design, coordination, and construction administration. Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, architects, and other consultants on school and institutional projects. Lead project teams in developing efficient, innovative, and cost-effective structural solutions tailored to educational environments. Prepare and review calculations, drawings, specifications, and technical reports to ensure accuracy and compliance with applicable codes and standards. Oversee project budgets, schedules, and resources to ensure timely and profitable delivery. Conduct site visits and provide construction support, including responding to RFIs, reviewing submittals, and resolving field issues. Mentor junior engineers and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to maintain a culture of technical excellence and teamwork. Stay current with advances in structural systems, materials, and sustainability practices. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (Master’s preferred). Professional Engineer (PE) license required; SE license preferred. Minimum 7–10 years of experience in structural engineering, with a focus on K–12 or higher education facility design. Demonstrated success in managing multiple projects and teams simultaneously. Proficiency in structural analysis and design software such as Revit, ETABS, SAP2000, RISA, or similar programs. Strong understanding of building codes (IBC, CBC, ASCE 7, ACI, AISC, etc.). Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills. Preferred Experience: Experience with DSA (Division of the State Architect) requirements and approval processes for California school projects.
