Full Description

Old Dominion University is hiring a Talent & Organizational Development Consultant for DTT. The consultant provides strategic and consultative support to organizational and talent development leadership, guiding organizational design, position management, and talent strategies aligned with university and state standards. They lead projects on succession planning, workforce analytics, and process optimization to ensure operational continuity and compliance while implementing best practices in talent acquisition and professional development. Highlights • Provide strategic and consultative support to the Manager of Organizational & Talent Development and division leadership. • Guide organizational design, position management, and talent strategies in alignment with university and state classification standards. • Lead projects related to succession planning, workforce analytics, and process optimization. • Research and implement best practices in talent acquisition and professional development. • Required qualifications include a Master’s degree in Business Administration, Public Administration, or related field, or a Bachelor’s degree with equivalent work experience. • Basic knowledge of position management, classification systems, recruitment, performance management, and succession planning. • Proficiency in arenaflex products including Teams and ability to manage tracking systems. • Strong written and verbal communication skills and ability to collaborate cross-functionally. • Preferred qualifications include knowledge of higher education and experience with state hiring processes. • Position is full-time and remote; requires a 40-hour work week with computer equipment provided by the employer.
