Our partner is looking for a Windows Infrastructure & Application Migration Engineer based in United States. This role is designed for an experienced infrastructure engineer who can lead complex Windows platform migrations and application modernization initiatives. You will support the transition of critical business applications and reporting environments to secure, supported server platforms. The position requires strong collaboration across infrastructure, database, security, network, and application teams. You will play a key role in ensuring smooth migrations, reliable deployments, and minimal operational disruption. The ideal candidate combines hands-on Windows administration expertise with automation, troubleshooting, and application deployment skills. This is an opportunity to contribute to large-scale technology transformation projects in a structured and fast-paced environment. \n Accountabilities: The Windows Infrastructure & Application Migration Engineer will be responsible for executing end-to-end migration activities, supporting infrastructure modernization, and ensuring application stability throughout the transition process. Provision, configure, and maintain Windows Server environments following enterprise infrastructure standards. Install, configure, and manage IIS components, including application pools, websites, SSL certificates, and web server configurations. Migrate and validate Finance Portal and ASP.NET/.NET applications to updated server environments. Perform SQL Server and SSRS migration activities, including reports, subscriptions, service accounts, and encryption key transfers. Configure application environments across Development, Testing, Disaster Recovery, and Production stages. Support infrastructure changes including DNS updates, firewall configurations, hostname modifications, and connectivity validation. Develop PowerShell automation scripts to improve server builds, deployments, and validation processes. Execute SIT, UAT, production cutovers, rollback planning, and post-deployment verification activities. Troubleshoot migration challenges, compatibility issues, and deployment failures to ensure successful delivery. Support production stabilization, hypercare activities, and retirement of legacy server environments. Collaborate with cross-functional technical teams to coordinate migration activities and resolve operational risks. Requirements: The ideal candidate brings strong experience in Windows infrastructure, application migration, and enterprise deployment environments, with the ability to manage complex technical activities independently. Proven experience administering, configuring, migrating, and supporting Windows Server environments. Hands-on expertise with IIS administration and hosting web applications on Windows platforms. Strong knowledge of ASP.NET and .NET Framework applications, including deployment, configuration, troubleshooting, and migration processes. Experience upgrading and supporting SQL Server and SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) environments. Demonstrated experience managing application migrations and deployments across multiple environments. Strong understanding of infrastructure components such as DNS, networking, firewall rules, and production cutover processes. Experience developing PowerShell scripts for automation, deployment, and operational validation. Familiarity with SIT/UAT testing processes, rollback planning, and migration support activities. Strong troubleshooting and analytical problem-solving skills. Ability to manage multiple migration activities while maintaining attention to detail and delivery quality. Excellent communication and collaboration skills when working with technical and business stakeholders. Ability to work effectively under tight deadlines in regulated and fast-moving environments.
