This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Technical Program Director - Cloud Modernization in the United States. The Technical Program Director will lead large-scale cloud modernization initiatives, driving the strategic execution of complex, multi-year programs across enterprise healthcare technology environments. This role involves managing cloud migrations for mission-critical applications, ensuring minimal disruption to operations while maintaining regulatory compliance. You will oversee cross-functional teams of engineers, architects, and project managers, aligning technical initiatives with business objectives. The position demands a blend of technical expertise, program management skill, and strategic vision to optimize cloud architecture, implement modern engineering practices, and guide stakeholders through transformative projects. This is a remote/hybrid role, offering the opportunity to influence enterprise-level technology transformation and deliver meaningful impact. Accountabilities: • Lead end-to-end cloud modernization programs for core enterprise applications, including clinical, operational, and document management systems. • Develop and execute multi-year migration roadmaps, managing budgets from $10M–$50M+. • Partner with executive stakeholders and CIOs to align cloud initiatives with strategic business objectives. • Establish governance frameworks ensuring compliance with HIPAA, data security, and regulatory standards. • Oversee technical architecture decisions, including hybrid and multi-cloud deployments, containerization, and microservices implementations. • Manage large, distributed teams of 50–100+ technical professionals, fostering collaboration and innovation. • Implement risk mitigation strategies, monitor performance metrics, and drive adoption of DevOps and CI/CD practices. • Continuously evaluate emerging cloud technologies and recommend improvements to enhance operational efficiency and business value. • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical field; Master’s or MBA preferred. • 10+ years of IT experience with 5+ years in cloud computing and program management, including large-scale cloud migrations. • Deep knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and modern architecture principles (microservices, containerization, Kubernetes). • Strong leadership and team management skills, capable of guiding and mentoring cross-functional teams. • Proven program management experience with budget oversight, risk mitigation, and stakeholder communication. • Knowledge of healthcare regulatory requirements (HIPAA, HITECH, 21 CFR Part 11) and clinical workflows. • Technical certifications preferred: AWS Solutions Architect, Azure Solutions Architect, Google Cloud Professional, Kubernetes (CKA/CKAD), DevOps certifications. • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and strategic planning abilities. • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for collaborating with executive leadership, vendors, and internal teams. • Competitive salary, commensurate with experience and location. • Remote/hybrid work flexibility across the United States. • Comprehensive health, dental, and vision insurance options. • Paid time off, parental leave, and flexible scheduling. • Professional development and certification reimbursement. • Opportunities to lead transformative cloud initiatives and work with cutting-edge technologies. • Inclusive work environment valuing collaboration, innovation, and career growth.
