This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Structural Designer (Renewable Structural) in the United States. As a Structural Designer in the renewable energy sector, you will play a key role in developing and delivering high-quality designs for utility-scale solar, wind, battery energy storage systems (BESS), and substations. You will collaborate with engineers and multidisciplinary teams to create accurate, buildable, and cost-effective structural solutions. This role involves drafting, modeling, and reviewing construction deliverables while ensuring compliance with relevant codes and standards. It is ideal for candidates who are detail-oriented, have a passion for renewable energy, and thrive in a collaborative, fast-paced environment. Both local (Lakewood, CO) and fully remote candidates are encouraged to apply. Accountabilities: Perform detailed structural design and drafting for renewable energy projects, including steel racking systems, wind turbine foundations, BESS enclosures, and substation structures. Produce comprehensive structural drawing packages such as foundation plans, steel framing details, and installation diagrams. Support engineers with design calculations, material take-offs, and construction details. Review and coordinate designs to ensure accuracy, constructability, and compliance with project specifications and codes. Assist with the review of vendor/shop drawings and submittals for project conformance. Conduct limited field inspections to verify as-built conditions and support construction teams. Collaborate with civil, electrical, and mechanical teams to ensure alignment between site design and structural systems. Associates degree in a related field preferred. 3โ€“5+ years of experience in drafting, structural design, engineering, or related fields. Proficiency with AutoCAD and Microsoft Office Suite. Strong understanding of structural design principles and applicable codes (IBC, ACI, AISC, ASCE 7, IEEE, etc.). Effective verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively. Ability to work independently and manage tasks in a hybrid or remote setting. U.S. work authorization required. Nice to Have: Experience with modeling/design software such as PLS-CADD, PLS-POLE, Civil 3D, or MicroStation.
