This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Staff Software Engineer (Engineering Experience) in the United States. As a Staff Software Engineer in the Engineering Experience group, you will design and maintain the systems, tools, and processes that empower mobile, web, and backend engineering teams to ship high-quality software efficiently. You will influence testing strategies, CI/CD pipelines, and automation frameworks that scale across multiple platforms. This role combines hands-on engineering, cross-functional collaboration, and mentorship responsibilities, allowing you to shape the development workflow and quality culture across the organization. Accountabilities Build and maintain automated test infrastructure supporting mobile (iOS & Android), web, and backend teams. Design, evolve, and maintain CI/CD pipelines, test strategies, and coverage tooling. Develop reusable testing frameworks and playbooks that accelerate development without compromising quality. Integrate and manage third-party tools for UI, API, and performance testing. Collaborate cross-functionally with platform teams, application engineers, and product managers to embed testing early in the development lifecycle. Lead testing strategies for critical projects, proactively identifying and mitigating risks. Evangelize best practices for testability, observability, and release hygiene. Mentor engineers to improve testing practices and holistic quality awareness. 6+ years of experience in Quality Engineering or Software Development in Test (SDET) roles. Strong experience building and maintaining automated tests and CI/CD workflows. Proficiency with modern test automation frameworks (e.g., Maestro, Playwright, Selenium, Appium, Cypress). Knowledge of scripting or programming languages (e.g., Ruby, Shell/Bash, Python). Experience with mobile, API, and web testing. Familiarity integrating and maintaining third-party QA and monitoring tools. Ability to collaborate across teams and influence quality practices. Excellent communication and documentation skills. Bonus: experience with containerized test infrastructure (Docker, Kubernetes), AWS-based infrastructure with Terraform, and supporting multi-platform testing (iOS, Android, backend).
