Help establish technical direction and architectural decisions that support the platform's scalability, reliability, and future growth. Technical leadership and delivery Lead major technical initiatives from initial discovery and solution design through implementation, experimentation, testing, analysis, and launch. Translate product goals and developer needs into robust technical solutions and actionable delivery plans. Identify complex engineering challenges, evaluate potential approaches, and drive decisions across technical boundaries. Review code, technical designs, product specifications, and user experiences to maintain high standards of quality and usability. Contribute to team strategy and help define the long-term roadmap for developer platform capabilities. Collaboration and developer experience Work closely with engineering, product, design, and other cross-functional teams to deliver cohesive developer experiences. Engage with developers and platform users to understand their needs and continuously improve tools and capabilities. Promote developer-focused API design, usability, and documentation to reduce friction and simplify application development. Use AI tools thoughtfully to improve engineering productivity, code quality, and development workflows. Mentorship and engineering culture Mentor engineers, share technical knowledge, and support the growth of teammates. Raise engineering standards through thoughtful code reviews, design discussions, and improvements to development practices. Encourage collaboration, accountability, curiosity, and a strong sense of ownership across the team. Requirements: At least 6 years of professional software engineering experience working on platform functionality, developer tools, full-stack products, or application platforms. Demonstrated experience leading large-scale technical projects from initial design through delivery. Strong background in API design and platform engineering, with an emphasis on understanding developer needs and creating intuitive experiences. Familiarity with technologies such as Go, TypeScript, GraphQL, React, Redis, relational databases, and NoSQL databases. Ability and willingness to work across the full technology stack, including frontend, backend, and infrastructure components. Regular use of AI-powered tools to improve development productivity, software quality, and engineering workflows. Proven experience mentoring engineers, sharing technical expertise, and improving software engineering practices and team culture. Strong commitment to building reliable, maintainable, high-quality software that people enjoy using.
