We are seeking an experienced Staff Software Development Engineer to drive the design, development, and implementation of high-performance, scalable software solutions for complex financial systems. This role focuses on Front Office architecture, requiring deep expertise in cloud technologies, distributed systems, and real-time, event-driven platforms. Accountabilities Design, develop, and maintain scalable software solutions in a distributed architecture environment. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align engineering strategies with business objectives and customer needs. Implement real-time and asynchronous systems with an emphasis on event-driven architecture. Ensure operational excellence by following best practices in software engineering, testing, and deployment. Present technical concepts, project updates, and architecture decisions clearly to stakeholders. Mentor and guide junior engineers to foster knowledge sharing and technical growth. 15+ years of hands-on software engineering experience, including architecture and coding in Front Office/FinTech environments. Deep expertise in cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure) and distributed systems. Strong experience with real-time systems, event-driven architecture, and engineering best practices at scale. Proficiency in Java and Python; familiarity with messaging systems such as JMS, Kafka, or MQ. Knowledge of financial protocols (FIX, SWIFT) is highly desirable. Excellent verbal and written communication skills to convey complex technical concepts. Experience working in both FinTech and BigTech environments is a plus.
