This is a senior engineering opportunity focused on modernizing and transforming an enterprise Windows endpoint environment. You’ll play a key role in moving device management toward a secure, scalable, cloud-first model centered on Microsoft Intune. The role combines hands-on engineering with technical leadership, automation, troubleshooting, and strategic modernization. You’ll help migrate legacy and hybrid environments toward Microsoft Entra ID Join, Intune, and Windows Autopilot. Your work will improve endpoint security, deployment consistency, patch compliance, automation, and the overall user experience. You’ll collaborate closely with security, infrastructure, architecture, application, and operations teams across the organization. As a senior technical expert, you’ll also influence standards, roadmaps, emerging technology adoption, and continuous improvement. \n Accountabilities Design, implement, and continuously modernize enterprise Windows endpoint environments using Microsoft Intune as a core management platform. Lead the transition from legacy and hybrid endpoint management to cloud-native Microsoft Entra ID Join and Intune-managed devices, leveraging Windows Autopilot where appropriate. Design and optimize Windows Autopatch capabilities to improve update compliance, security, deployment consistency, and operational efficiency. Develop and strengthen third-party application patching, vulnerability remediation, configuration management, compliance policies, security baselines, update rings, and application deployment processes. Partner with security, infrastructure, architecture, application, and operations teams to deliver secure, scalable, standardized endpoint solutions. Identify and implement automation opportunities using PowerShell, Microsoft Graph, and other relevant Microsoft technologies to reduce repetitive engineering and operational work. Troubleshoot complex Windows, Intune, Entra ID, application deployment, enrollment, authentication, VDI, and endpoint management issues while providing senior-level escalation support. Establish engineering standards, technical roadmaps, documentation, operating procedures, and best practices supporting broader endpoint modernization initiatives. Serve as a technical subject matter expert and trusted advisor, evaluating emerging Microsoft capabilities and challenging legacy approaches to improve end-user computing. Participate in technology evaluations and recommend standardized solutions aligned with enterprise objectives and security requirements. Lead or support major incident response, including issue identification, resolution, root-cause analysis, and corrective actions. Mentor and guide junior engineers and collaborate effectively with distributed technical teams. Maintain comprehensive documentation of endpoint systems, configurations, and processes. Develop advanced metrics and reporting that provide visibility into endpoint performance, user experience, trends, and opportunities for proactive optimization. Requirements Bachelor’s degree in a technology-related field with 7+ years of experience designing, implementing, and engineering modern Windows end-user computing environments, or 11+ years of relevant professional experience. Extensive hands-on expertise with Microsoft Intune, Windows, VDI, and cloud-based endpoint management technologies. Proven experience modernizing and transforming large-scale enterprise Windows environments. Strong knowledge of Microsoft Entra ID, Windows Autopilot, Windows Autopatch, configuration profiles, compliance policies, security baselines, update rings, application deployment, and endpoint security. Experience with PowerShell, Microsoft Graph, automation, application patching, vulnerability remediation, and modern device-management practices. Strong understanding of IT security principles, endpoint security, least-privilege concepts, and industry best practices; experience with tools such as PolicyPak is a plus. Ability to diagnose complex technical issues across Windows, identity, applications, enrollment, authentication, and endpoint management. Demonstrated ability to mentor engineers, provide technical guidance, and operate effectively across local and remote teams. Strong analytical, organizational, and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize multiple initiatives while balancing quality, business needs, and delivery timelines. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to explain complex technical concepts clearly to both technical and business stakeholders. Proven ability to collaborate across engineering, architecture, security, infrastructure, and operations teams. Curiosity and a continuous-learning mindset, with an interest in emerging Microsoft technologies and responsible adoption of AI-enabled tools. Benefits Full-time, remote position available to candidates in the United States. Opportunity to contribute to enterprise-wide digital transformation and modern workplace initiatives. Work with collaborative engineering and technology teams on complex, high-impact technical challenges. Exposure to modern Microsoft cloud, endpoint management, automation, security, and AI-enabled technologies. Opportunities to mentor others and grow as a senior technical subject matter expert and solutions consultant. Support for continuous learning, experimentation, and professional development. Compensation and benefits are provided as part of the overall employment package; specific details may vary based on role, location, and eligibility. \n How Jobgether works: We use an AI-powered matching process to ensure your application is reviewed quickly, objectively, and fairly against the role's core requirements.
