As a Senior Backend Software Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and building scalable, high-performance backend systems that power core financial and investment products. This role focuses on creating reliable and secure APIs, integrating with financial institutions, and enhancing application infrastructure. Accountabilities: Analyze product requirements and provide technical feedback to improve solutions. Design, develop, and maintain backend services and APIs with high performance and reliability. Implement features with clean, maintainable code and automated unit testing. Troubleshoot production issues and provide effective resolutions and recommendations. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth integration with frontend components and external partners. Contribute to software architecture, database schema design, and system scalability planning. Follow best practices for software design, testing, and deployment. 5+ years of professional software development experience, with a strong focus on backend development. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience. Proficiency with Javascript, Typescript, and Node.js. Strong understanding of relational databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL) and schema design. Experience designing and building scalable, high-availability web applications. Knowledge of software architecture, design patterns, and Agile/Scrum development methodologies. Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to technical challenges. Familiarity with AWS cloud platforms and DevOps practices is a plus. Effective communication skills and the ability to collaborate with distributed teams.
