This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a SPO Tier 2 Support & Development Specialist in the United States. This role offers the opportunity to provide advanced support and development across SharePoint Online (SPO) and SharePoint Subscription Edition (SE) environments. You will be instrumental in resolving complex technical issues, building custom solutions, and optimizing collaborative workflows. The position combines hands-on troubleshooting with development expertise, enabling operational excellence in enterprise environments. The Specialist will work with cross-functional teams, supporting integrations, automations, and user enablement. Accountabilities As a SPO Tier 2 Support & Development Specialist, you will: Investigate and resolve Tier 2 technical issues related to SharePoint architecture, custom solutions, site collections, permissions, and lists/libraries. Design, build, and enhance SharePoint solutions using SPFx, PowerShell, PnP, JavaScript/TypeScript, and Power Platform tools including Power Automate and Power Apps. Support and maintain workflow automations, including legacy SharePoint Designer workflows. Assist with integrations between SharePoint and Microsoft 365 services (Teams, OneDrive, Outlook) as well as third-party applications. Monitor system performance, recommend optimizations, and ensure compliance with organizational standards. Provide guidance and training to site owners, content managers, and end-users on governance policies, feature usage, and best practices. Maintain technical documentation, scripts, and SOPs to ensure consistent service delivery. Collaborate with administrators, architects, security teams, and Microsoft support to resolve high-impact issues. Track and manage incidents using ITSM tools like ServiceNow, ensuring timely resolution and communication. Candidates should have: US citizenship and eligibility to obtain a Secret security clearance. Public Trust designation preferred. 3+ years of hands-on experience supporting and developing in SharePoint Online and SharePoint on-premises environments, preferably SharePoint SE. Experience with hybrid SharePoint environments and migration projects. Strong troubleshooting skills for permissions, site structures, workflows, and integrations. Technical Skills: Proficiency in SPFx, PowerShell, PnP PowerShell, JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML/CSS. Experience with Power Platform tools: Power Automate, Power Apps, Power BI. Familiarity with SharePoint Designer and InfoPath for legacy workflows. Experience configuring SharePoint SE service applications, central admin, ULS/event logs, and SQL Server dependencies. Soft Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Excellent written and verbal communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences. Proactive, detail-oriented, and collaborative. Ability to manage multiple tickets and development tasks effectively. Additional Requirements: Experience with ITSM tools such as ServiceNow and Jira.
