This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Software Engineer in United States. This role offers the opportunity to design, develop, and maintain cutting-edge software solutions that support highly scalable and reliable systems. You will work across the full stack, creating front-end and back-end features, APIs, and microservices, while deploying applications to cloud environments. This role also provides exposure to complex cloud infrastructure and advanced CI/CD workflows, ensuring impactful contributions to software delivery. Remote work is supported, with proximity to the Washington Metro Area preferred. Accountabilities: Design, develop, and maintain scalable front-end and back-end systems using languages such as Java, Python, or Node.js. Build, deploy, and optimize applications in cloud environments (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) with serverless frameworks. Develop and maintain APIs, microservices, and server-side logic to support reliable, efficient system functionality. Implement database solutions, including schema design, queries, and optimization for relational and non-relational databases. Write unit, integration, and end-to-end tests to ensure high code quality. Collaborate with QA teams to identify and resolve bugs and performance bottlenecks. Conduct peer code reviews and provide constructive feedback to ensure adherence to coding standards. Monitor and debug technical issues across the stack, improving system reliability and user experience. Communicate effectively with internal teams and client stakeholders to align project objectives and delivery. Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience) in Computer Science or related field; advanced degrees may offset some experience requirements. 2+ years of professional experience in software engineering; level of responsibility may be matched to experience. Proficiency in Java, Python, React, and TypeScript. Experience with cloud deployments and serverless frameworks, particularly AWS. Knowledge of DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and Infrastructure-as-Code tools like Terraform. Strong understanding of GitLab CI/CD and automated testing/deployment workflows. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with ability to collaborate across teams. Ability to obtain a DoD Secret security clearance. Strong problem-solving skills, adaptability, and a proactive, self-motivated approach. Competitive pay range: $55,250 – $99,875 (based on experience). 100% remote work with flexibility; proximity to Washington Metro Area preferred.
