This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Software Engineer in the United States. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to cutting-edge AI research by evaluating and annotating software engineering tasks. You will work remotely and asynchronously, analyzing code snippets, identifying logical errors, and providing structured feedback to help optimize performance and maintain high-quality outputs. The position is highly collaborative within a research-driven environment, requiring attention to detail, strong technical expertise, and the ability to work independently. It’s ideal for software professionals who are passionate about AI, code quality, and advancing the capabilities of modern AI systems. The work is short-term but impactful, providing a unique chance to contribute directly to world-class AI projects. Accountabilities: Evaluate and annotate code snippets, scripts, and software engineering tasks for accuracy, clarity, and quality. Identify logical errors, inefficiencies, and optimization opportunities in programming samples. Provide structured and precise feedback on implementation, coding logic, and best practices. Apply annotation and labeling guidelines consistently to maintain high precision. Work independently to meet daily targets for code review and annotation. Support the training of AI models by ensuring annotated code meets strict quality standards. Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field. Proficiency in at least two major programming languages (e.g., Python, C++, Go, Java). Strong understanding of algorithms, data structures, debugging, and code analysis. Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and written communication skills. Prior experience with structured software evaluations, benchmarks, or code review is a plus. Access to a desktop or laptop computer (Chromebooks not supported). Ability to work asynchronously and independently in a fully remote environment. Competitive hourly rate: $85/hour. Fully remote and flexible work schedule (10–40 hours/week). Short-term, high-impact engagement (~2 weeks).
