As a Software Engineer, you will play a central role in designing, developing, and scaling high-quality software solutions that empower users and support organizational goals. You will work across the full software development lifecycle—from conception to deployment—collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver robust, maintainable, and efficient applications. Your expertise in Python, SQL, cloud infrastructure, and modern development practices will directly influence the architecture and performance of critical systems. Accountabilities Develop, maintain, and optimize high-quality software applications using Python and SQL. Design scalable, secure, and maintainable APIs and backend services. Participate in the full agile software development lifecycle, including architecture, design, development, testing, and deployment. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand requirements, propose technical solutions, and influence project direction. Leverage AI tools to enhance software development workflows and integrate intelligent solutions into systems. Conduct code reviews, mentor team members, and drive continuous improvement across development practices. Research, evaluate, and adopt emerging technologies to improve system performance, scalability, and reliability. Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines, cloud infrastructure, and monitoring solutions to ensure system stability. 10+ years of professional experience writing clean, tested, and efficient code. Proficiency in Python (and experience with Ruby is a plus). Experience with relational databases such as PostgreSQL or MySQL. Strong understanding of scalable, secure API design and backend architecture. Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps principles. Familiarity with LLMs and Generative AI, and AI development tools such as Cursor or Copilot. Experience with cloud infrastructure (preferably AWS) and containerized deployment tools (Docker, Kubernetes). Knowledge of logging, monitoring, and telemetry systems. Excellent problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills. Curiosity and adaptability, with a proactive approach to learning new technologies and frameworks.
