This role is responsible for ensuring the highest levels of quality, reliability, and performance in software products prior to release. You will design and execute comprehensive test plans, develop automated testing scripts, and identify and resolve defects across distributed and microservice-based architectures. Working closely with developers, product managers, and UX designers, you will contribute to delivering seamless, high-performing user experiences. The position provides an opportunity to influence QA strategy, mentor junior engineers, and contribute to continuous improvement in testing processes within a collaborative, fast-paced environment. This role requires technical depth, autonomy in problem-solving, and proficiency with modern QA frameworks, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud-based platforms. Accountabilities · Review and analyze requirements, specifications, and technical design documents to inform testing strategies. · Develop detailed and well-structured test plans and test cases for functional, regression, performance, and security testing. · Execute manual and automated tests, identify and track defects, and verify fixes through regression testing. · Develop, maintain, and integrate automated test scripts using frameworks such as Selenium, Cypress, or Playwright into CI/CD pipelines. · Collaborate with developers, product managers, and UX designers to ensure quality is embedded throughout development. · Participate in Agile ceremonies, provide test status updates, and communicate technical insights effectively to stakeholders. · Track quality metrics, generate regular QA reports, and continuously improve testing processes. · Mentor junior QA engineers and contribute to enhancing team workflows and documentation. · Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field. · 7+ years of experience in QA for complex backend or distributed systems. · 5+ years of hands-on experience managing QA/CI/CD/CO pipelines and integrating automated testing frameworks. · 5+ years of technical writing experience, including FRS/URS documentation and Traceability Matrices. · Proficiency with programming and scripting languages such as Ruby, Java, Python, and JavaScript. · Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and tools like Docker, Elasticsearch, GitHub, JIRA, Ruby on Rails, React, and Micronaut. · Strong knowledge of test automation tools and frameworks (RSpec, Cucumber, Selenium, Cypress) and API testing tools (Postman, REST Assured). · Skilled in performance, integration, and security testing. · Ability to design and maintain CI/CD/CO pipelines and validate automated builds and deployments. · Excellent communication, documentation, problem-solving, and mentoring skills. · Competitive compensation and contingent employment terms. · Flexible remote work arrangements. · Opportunity to work on cutting-edge QA for complex, distributed systems. · Hands-on experience with modern automation frameworks and cloud platforms. · Mentorship and professional development opportunities. · Collaborative, fast-paced environment with cross-functional teams.
