This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Software Engineer II in the United States. As a Software Engineer II, you will play a key role in building and maintaining backend services and web applications that power high-impact digital healthcare experiences. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including product managers, designers, and engineers, contributing to all stages of the software development lifecycle. This role offers hands-on coding experience, exposure to AI-driven tools, and opportunities to grow your technical expertise in scalable, secure, and maintainable systems. You will collaborate in a dynamic, supportive environment that emphasizes innovation, problem-solving, and delivering meaningful outcomes for users. Accountabilities In this role, you will: Develop, maintain, and improve backend services and web applications supporting digital healthcare products. Write clean, tested, and efficient code, adhering to coding standards and best practices. Participate actively in code reviews, unit and integration testing, and system design discussions. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to solve complex programming and design challenges. Leverage AI-assisted development tools and support the integration of AI capabilities into systems. Contribute ideas and collaborate on adopting new technologies and improving workflows. Participate in on-call rotation to triage and resolve production issues, ensuring system reliability and stability. Candidates should have: 3–5 years of experience writing readable, tested, and efficient code. Proficiency in Ruby or Python, with practical experience in backend development. Experience with modern frontend frameworks such as React or Vue. Familiarity with relational databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL) and API design (REST/GraphQL). Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and deployment tools such as Kubernetes or Docker. Exposure to AI/GenAI best practices and experience with AI-assisted development tools like Cursor or Copilot. Willingness to learn new tools, languages, and workflows to grow technical skills. Strong problem-solving abilities, curiosity, and a collaborative mindset.
