This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Software Engineer II in the United States. The Software Engineer II will play a key role in designing, developing, and maintaining custom software, systems, and integrations. You will work closely with a team of engineers, QA specialists, and business analysts in an agile environment to deliver high-quality solutions. This role involves translating functional requirements into technical specifications, designing scalable solutions, and proactively identifying potential issues and improvements. You will participate in code reviews, scrum ceremonies, and collaboration with stakeholders to understand workflows and ensure project success. The environment is dynamic, team-oriented, and encourages innovation and technical growth. Accountabilities Design, develop, and maintain software according to defined specifications. Participate actively in code reviews, providing and receiving constructive feedback. Collaborate with stakeholders to understand workflows, clarify requirements, and propose enhancements. Take part in scrum ceremonies, including backlog grooming, sprint planning, and daily standups. Curate and manage tickets while analyzing workflows for efficiency and optimization. Monitor processes, log information, troubleshoot problems, and identify trends or issues. Contribute to team knowledge sharing and mentoring of junior engineers. Perform other duties as assigned to support the team and project goals. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related discipline, or equivalent work experience. Minimum of 3 years of professional software engineering experience. Proficiency in object-oriented programming languages such as Java, Python, or .NET. Experience executing end-to-end projects from discovery to delivery and post-deployment monitoring. Solid understanding of SOLID principles and best practices in software design. Knowledge of SQL and relational databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL, MSSQL). Ability to read and write structured and unstructured data formats (JSON, CSV, XML). Experience with web services, including REST, SOAP, or AMQP. Familiarity with version control systems, including branching and merging in Git. Experience working on cloud platforms, preferably AWS. Strong critical thinking skills, with the ability to monitor, log, and troubleshoot issues. Comfortable working in an Agile development environment. Competitive salary range of $105,000–$125,000 per year, with eligibility for a Short-Term Incentive Plan (target 7.5%). Flexible remote work arrangements.
