This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Software Engineer Co-op (Cooperative Education) in the United States. This co-op role offers an exciting opportunity for a motivated engineering student to gain hands-on experience building scalable applications in cloud and Salesforce environments. You will work on designing, developing, and deploying data-driven solutions using modern technologies such as AWS Lambda, Fargate, and Salesforce Apex. The position allows you to actively participate in the full software development lifecycle, including coding, testing, monitoring, and deployment. You will collaborate with a team of engineers and product specialists, contributing directly to projects that impact thousands of users. This role emphasizes learning, skill growth, and professional development while providing meaningful real-world experience in a fast-paced, team-oriented setting. Accountabilities Write clean, scalable, and maintainable JavaScript for AWS services such as Lambda and Fargate. Design, develop, and monitor RESTful APIs for various applications. Create cost-effective AWS services for file migration and management. Develop, organize, and deploy CloudFormation templates to customer environments. Manage the security and structure of large-scale file storage in S3. Build and maintain Salesforce components using Apex and Lightning frameworks. Collaborate closely with Engineering and Product teams to deliver high-quality software solutions. Enrollment in a bachelor’s degree program in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field. Experience with backend programming, preferably in Node.js. Strong desire to learn and take on increasingly challenging technical projects. Ability to communicate effectively with peers and participate in team-oriented development processes. Familiarity with agile software development methodologies. Nice-to-have: hands-on experience in cloud environments, preferably AWS. Paid co-op position: $26/hour. Full-time work up to 40 hours per week (January–June 2026). Flexible remote work with optional access to offices in NYC or New Orleans, depending on location.
