This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Software Engineer based in United States. As a Software Engineer, you will build and ship reliable software that helps make healthcare accessible to patients across the country. Working within a TypeScript-based platform, you will develop well-tested features and fixes across web, mobile, and backend systems. You will collaborate closely with senior engineers, Product, and QA to turn well-scoped requirements into maintainable solutions. The role emphasizes strong engineering fundamentals, consistent delivery, thoughtful communication, and continuous learning. Your work will directly support telehealth services used by patients and clinicians, including those in rural and underserved communities. This is a remote U.S. opportunity for a mid-level engineer who wants to grow toward greater technical ownership while contributing to meaningful healthcare technology. \n Accountabilities: Build and ship well-tested features and bug fixes across a TypeScript monorepo using technologies such as React, React Native, Node/Lambda, tRPC, and Redux-Saga. Write clear, maintainable code and meaningful automated tests for assigned work. Debug issues in existing systems and escalate architectural questions to technical leads or senior engineers when appropriate. Collaborate with technical leads to break tickets into clear, actionable implementation steps and deliver work reliably. Keep work-in-progress visible and up to date in team tracking tools. Partner with Product and QA to understand requirements, acceptance criteria, dependencies, and expected outcomes. Ask clarifying questions and surface blockers or ambiguity early to prevent avoidable issues. Document technical work clearly through tickets, pull requests, Confluence, and other appropriate tools. Participate actively in stand-ups, planning sessions, retrospectives, and code reviews. Seek and apply feedback and mentorship from senior engineers while providing thoughtful feedback to peers as experience grows. Contribute to a positive, collaborative engineering culture grounded in consistency, velocity, accountability, and continuous improvement. Requirements: 3–6 years of professional software engineering experience. Strong proficiency in TypeScript and JavaScript, with hands-on experience using React or Node.js. Working familiarity with relational databases such as PostgreSQL or MySQL. Experience working with REST or RPC-style APIs. Ability to independently complete well-scoped engineering tasks while recognizing when to seek guidance or escalate technical questions. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Eagerness to learn, receive feedback, and develop toward greater ownership within an engineering career ladder. Experience with React Native is preferred. Exposure to serverless or event-driven architectures, including AWS Lambda, SQS, or equivalent technologies, is a plus. Interest or experience in healthcare, telehealth, or other regulated and compliance-focused environments is advantageous. Exposure to PHP/Laravel is a plus.
