We are seeking a Software Engineer Associate Manager to lead and support software development teams while ensuring high-quality product delivery. This role combines hands-on engineering with people management, guiding projects from concept through deployment, and overseeing backlog management, defect resolution, and system monitoring. You will collaborate with business analysts, product managers, and development teams to shape architecture, define priorities, and drive technical excellence. The position involves mentoring and coaching team members, fostering knowledge sharing, and promoting best practices in CI/CD and software delivery. You will influence both team and business outcomes, ensuring systems are reliable, scalable, and user-focused. Accountabilities Lead software projects from start to finish, including backlog prioritization, defect management, and enhancement planning. Collaborate with business analysts and product managers to understand requirements and translate them into technical solutions. Shape architecture and design of applications, ensuring alignment with strategic goals. Guide and mentor small to medium-sized teams, setting expectations, evaluating performance, and providing technical leadership. Facilitate daily standups, retrospectives, inception meetings, and iteration planning sessions to promote effective communication and continuous improvement. Advocate for robust CI/CD practices and responsible deployment processes from testing to production. Support knowledge sharing and team development to enhance the collective expertise of the engineering community. 5+ years of experience in software development, with a strong technical foundation. Proven experience in mentoring and coaching engineers, fostering growth and collaboration. Solid understanding of software architecture, design patterns, and development best practices. Hands-on experience managing applications in development, staging, and production environments. Familiarity with Agile methodologies and backlog management. Strong problem-solving skills, analytical thinking, and attention to detail. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of working with technical and non-technical stakeholders. Supervisory experience, able to motivate and guide team members effectively. Competitive salary range: $95,700 - $152,690, based on experience and qualifications.
