This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Software Engineer 5, Android - Live, DVX in the United States. In this senior Android engineering role, you will lead the architecture and development of next-generation live viewing experiences for mobile applications at a global scale. You will shape the technical roadmap, implement high-quality, performant UI features, and drive best practices across the engineering team. The role involves collaborating closely with product, design, and cross-functional partners to deliver innovative live experiences to millions of users. You will mentor and guide less-experienced engineers, influence system architecture decisions, and ensure high standards of code quality, testing, and maintainability. Accountabilities: Lead the design, architecture, and development of new live product features for Android applications. Write high-quality, testable, and performant code adhering to UI and engineering best practices. Drive initiatives to enhance developer productivity, application performance, and system reliability. Collaborate with cross-functional teams in product and design to define and deliver on the product vision. Mentor and grow less-experienced Android engineers through guidance, code reviews, and technical coaching. Influence technical strategy and roadmap decisions, ensuring alignment with long-term objectives. Communicate effectively with stakeholders to ensure clarity and progress across projects. 6+ years of professional experience in Android development. Expertise in Kotlin and Java, with deep knowledge of Android UI frameworks and best practices. Strong architecture and system design skills, with experience leading complex projects. Excellent project management, estimation, communication, and collaboration abilities. Proven track record of mentoring junior engineers and driving team growth. Alignment with a fast-paced, innovative, and collaborative work culture. Nice to Have: Experience with Jetpack Compose, Circuit, Dagger/Hilt, GraphQL, or live streaming/advertising technologies.
