This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Software Development Engineer in the United States. In this role, you will design, build, and maintain scalable, distributed web applications that enhance a large, global developer ecosystem. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate product roadmaps into high-quality, customer-facing features, implement robust backend systems, and develop front-end solutions using modern frameworks. The position requires expertise in distributed systems, databases, API design, and AI/ML integration, with an emphasis on test-driven development and performance optimization. You will also troubleshoot critical customer issues and provide technical guidance, ensuring solutions are scalable, reliable, and aligned with strategic goals. This is a remote-friendly role that offers opportunities to make a tangible impact on a widely used platform while working with a globally distributed team. Accountabilities · Develop and maintain scalable, distributed web applications for the platform and developer ecosystem. · Design and implement features and infrastructure modules to expand platform capabilities. · Collaborate with product, design, and cross-functional teams to translate roadmaps into deliverable features. · Write high-quality, well-tested code following Test-Driven Development (TDD) practices. · Troubleshoot critical customer issues and provide technical guidance during engagements. · Build complex metrics solutions and data visualizations for actionable insights. · Contribute to architecture discussions and performance optimization of front-end and back-end systems. · 5+ years of professional software engineering experience building full-stack, scalable, high-performance applications. · Front-end expertise with React.js, JavaScript (ES6), CSS, and Node.js. · Back-end development experience with Java, Spring Boot, and Spring MVC. · Proficiency designing and integrating RESTful APIs. · Experience managing relational and NoSQL databases, including Redis, DynamoDB, and MongoDB. · Strong understanding of algorithms, data structures, distributed systems, and performance optimization techniques. · Experience building and operationalizing AI/ML models in production environments. · Excellent problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills within globally distributed teams. · Familiarity with test-driven development and software engineering best practices. · Competitive salary range: $98,900 – $228,700 USD annually, plus potential bonuses and equity. · Remote and hybrid work flexibility. · Comprehensive health, dental, and vision insurance. · Generous paid time off and parental leave programs. · Professional development opportunities and career growth paths. · Supportive, collaborative, and growth-focused work environment. · Access to wellness programs and resources for physical, mental, and financial health.
