This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Senior Tax Manager - REMOTE. This role involves overseeing the organization's tax planning, compliance, and reporting functions, ensuring adherence to all relevant tax regulations. The Tax Manager will be responsible for managing corporate tax returns and developing strategies to optimize tax positions. Collaborating closely with management and external professionals, this position requires a strong technical background in accounting, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to handle multiple projects in a dynamic environment. \n Accountabilities Complete all state and local sales and use taxes and tax compliance matters. Research nexus issues for various business lines across multiple states. Assist in developing income tax accruals and financial reporting. Apply for and maintain business licenses and related applications. Prepare sales & use tax returns. Manage all tax-related audits. Prepare quarterly provision reports for management and auditors. Assist with special projects as directed by management. Prepare documentation for tax positions and audit inquiries. Assist in budget preparation and financial forecasts. Prepare and review depreciation reports for filings. Ensure compliance with all applicable tax laws and regulations. Furnish internal and external tax reports. Interact with auditors and assist during audits. Stay updated on accounting and tax profession developments. Maintain regular attendance as per policy. Perform other duties as assigned. Report any allegations of impropriety to the Compliance Department. Adhere to ethical conduct and compliance programs. Complete required training within established timeframes. Manage mental and emotional stress associated with position duties. Requirements Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting. CPA certification required. 5-10 years of Corporate and/or Public accounting tax experience. Accounting/GAAP and Tax Code knowledge. Advanced skills in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Access. Strong research and problem-solving abilities. Ability to manage multiple projects effectively. Excellent communication skills. Detail-oriented with strong organizational and analytical skills.
