This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Senior System Software Engineer - AV Platform in the United States. This role provides an exciting opportunity to develop and launch autonomous vehicle platforms on a global scale. The Senior System Software Engineer will integrate software across complex vehicle subsystems, ensuring high-performance, robust, and scalable solutions for autonomous driving platforms. You will work closely with cross-functional engineering teams, system architects, and QA teams to align schedules, manage dependencies, and meet production release timelines. This position involves enhancing development efficiency on embedded platforms, debugging at both application and kernel levels, and contributing to best practices for software development, testing, and release. You will engage directly with partners and customers to refine workflows and ensure smooth platform integration in cutting-edge autonomous vehicle systems. Accountabilities: · Lead software integration efforts to streamline embedded development across AV platform teams and external partners. · Contribute to platform software development, tools, filesystem customization, and software integration across multiple OS environments. · Collaborate with system architects, software/firmware engineers, QA teams, and application engineering teams to manage dependencies, coordinate schedules, and debug issues for production releases. · Engage with customer teams to productize workflows and ensure seamless platform integration. · Enhance integration efficiency for low-latency development on embedded autonomous vehicle platforms. · Establish and contribute to best practices for software building, testing, and release processes. · Analyze complex technical issues and independently drive resolution across multiple teams. · BS, MS, or higher in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related engineering fields (or equivalent experience). · 8+ years of relevant industry experience in embedded systems or platform software engineering. · Strong programming skills in Python and proficiency in software architecture design. · Expertise in debugging from application to kernel level on embedded hardware. · Experience with cross-domain SW/HW integration in embedded systems. · Strong communication and collaboration skills for multinational, multi-time-zone environments. · Self-motivated, organized, and proactive in addressing technical challenges.
