We are seeking a Senior Staff Software Engineer to lead full-stack development initiatives across marketplace and search experiences for consumer-facing products. In this role, you will define the technical vision, establish architectural best practices, and deliver scalable, high-performance solutions that directly impact customer engagement. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, mentor engineers, and drive strategic technical decisions that support growth and reliability. Accountabilities As a Senior Staff Software Engineer, you will: Define and lead the technical vision, long-term roadmap, and strategic initiatives for marketplace and search experiences. Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure technical excellence and alignment with business goals. Build scalable, reliable, and high-performing solutions across iOS, Android, and Web platforms. Guide architectural decisions, platform choices, and implementation strategies to support core features. Mentor engineers, establish best practices, and foster a culture of ownership and accountability. Drive delivery of critical initiatives with measurable impact on user experiences and customer value. The ideal candidate will have: 10+ years of experience in full-stack software development, delivering consumer-facing applications. Proven track record leading complex projects and coordinating multiple engineering teams across organizational boundaries. Hands-on experience with frontend and backend technologies; experience with Kotlin, Python, or mobile/web development is a plus. Deep understanding of system architecture, scalability, and performance optimization. Strong communication and collaboration skills to influence stakeholders and guide technical decisions. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience. Preferred: Experience shaping technical strategy in high-growth, consumer-focused organizations.
