Lead customer discovery and technical workshops, design tailored architectures, and guide proof-of-concept engagements in partnership with sales.
Requires 5+ years in customer-facing technical roles, including 3+ years in B2B pre-sales for API-first or developer-focused SaaS, plus modern web architecture, GraphQL, and content strategy expertise.
This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Senior Solutions Engineer based in the United States. Join a remote-first, globally distributed team helping organizations build scalable, personalized digital experiences through modern content technologies. As a Senior Solutions Engineer, you will serve as a trusted technical advisor to engineering, content, and business leaders across the US market. You will combine consultative pre-sales expertise with post-sales architecture guidance, translating complex business needs into practical, measurable solutions. Working closely with Sales, Product, Customer Success, and Engineering, you will lead technical discovery, deliver tailored demonstrations, and guide proof-of-concept engagements. You will also support customers through critical architecture decisions and early implementation, ensuring promised outcomes translate into real business value. This role offers the opportunity to influence product strategy, shape technical best practices, and contribute to the growth of a developer-focused SaaS platform. \n Accountabilities: Lead technical discovery sessions to understand prospects' business objectives, existing architectures, operational challenges, and success criteria, connecting technical requirements to measurable business outcomes. Design and present tailored solution architectures that align with customer technology stacks, content operations, business constraints, and strategic priorities. Develop and deliver compelling product demonstrations, including interactive web front-end prototypes using modern frameworks. Scope and manage Proof of Outcomes engagements by defining measurable success criteria, coordinating with prospects, and collaborating with Forward Deployed Engineers on implementation activities. Facilitate technical workshops and in-depth discussions with executives, architects, developers, and content teams, adapting the approach to each audience. Lead technical evaluations during late-stage sales opportunities, addressing security, scalability, integrations, migration strategies, and other architectural considerations. Partner with Account Executives on account strategies, opportunity qualification, and deal planning to support successful commercial outcomes. Share customer feedback, market insights, and competitive intelligence with Product and Engineering teams to influence product improvements and identify opportunities for innovation. Ensure smooth transitions from sales to onboarding by documenting commitments, agreed outcomes, and success criteria. Advise new customers on architecture decisions, including content modeling, schema design, localization, front-end technologies, and third-party integrations. Collaborate with Customer Success Managers and Forward Deployed Engineers on complex technical projects, customer adoption, and expansion opportunities. Develop and maintain reference architectures, reusable technical assets, best-practice guidance, and internal playbooks that strengthen delivery throughout the customer lifecycle. Requirements: At least 5 years of experience in a customer-facing technical role, such as solutions engineering, sales engineering, solutions architecture, or technical consulting, including at least 3 years in B2B pre-sales for an API-first or developer-focused SaaS product. Strong working knowledge of GraphQL, modern web architectures, and frameworks such as React, Next.js, and Svelte, along with composable and headless technology approaches. A consultative mindset, with the ability to lead discovery through thoughtful questioning, understand business challenges, and communicate the value and impact of technical solutions. Proven experience scoping and delivering proofs of concept or pilot projects with clearly defined, measurable success criteria. Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to executive, technical, and editorial audiences. A solid understanding of content strategy and content operations, including the ability to guide customers in making effective content modeling and schema design decisions. Strong business acumen and analytical skills, with the ability to identify root causes, prioritize customer challenges, and align proposed solutions with functional requirements, technical constraints, and strategic objectives. Experience collaborating across Sales, Customer Success, Product, and Engineering teams to deliver cohesive customer experiences. A proactive, solution-oriented approach, strong attention to detail, and creative problem-solving abilities. Excellent written and spoken English. Willingness to travel occasionally to meet customers and prospects in person. Demonstrated ability to work effectively with remote, globally distributed teams across different time zones. Experience with headless CMS platforms, digital experience platforms (DXP), or composable architectures is an advantage. Familiarity with enterprise sales cycles, complex buying committees, procurement processes, and security reviews is beneficial. Experience working with forward-deployed engineering, professional services, or delivery teams is a plus. Knowledge of AI tools, LLM-powered content workflows, or the Model Context Protocol (MCP) is desirable. Additional experience in CMS migrations, enterprise architecture consulting, digital transformation strategy, design systems, design thinking, or service design is beneficial. Candidates who meet some, but not all, of the listed requirements are encouraged to apply if they bring relevant experience and transferable skills. Benefits: Annual compensation of $140,000–$160,000, as advertised in the source listing; the original listing labels this range as monthly, so the compensation period should be confirmed. Remote-first working environment with flexibility to work across a globally distributed team. Annual learning budget to support professional development, training, and conference attendance. Opportunities to collaborate with international colleagues across Sales, Product, Engineering, and Customer Success. Exposure to enterprise customers, complex technical challenges, and innovative content technologies. A collaborative culture that values transparency, accountability, ownership, continuous learning, and constructive feedback. Opportunities to influence product development, establish technical best practices, and contribute to the evolution of AI-powered content experiences. \n How Jobgether works: We use an AI-powered matching process to ensure your application is reviewed quickly, objectively, and fairly against the role's core requirements.
