We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Software/System Architect to design, implement, and manage scalable, secure, and highly available cloud infrastructure. This role offers the opportunity to shape architecture for enterprise-scale systems while leading cross-functional teams in delivering high-quality solutions. The ideal candidate will work with AWS and Azure environments, drive automation and Infrastructure-as-Code practices, and ensure cloud reliability, security, and performance. You will collaborate closely with DevOps, InfoSec, and development teams to support agile delivery, while mentoring junior engineers and influencing technology strategy. This is a role for a proactive technical leader passionate about building robust and efficient cloud-native and hybrid systems. Accountabilities Design, build, and manage cloud infrastructure across AWS and Azure for high availability and scalability. Implement and maintain Infrastructure-as-Code using Terraform, ARM/Bicep, or CloudFormation. Administer cloud services including EC2, S3, RDS, IAM, VPCs, VMs, VNets, Storage, Azure AD, and App Services. Automate deployment, configuration, patching, and monitoring using tools such as Ansible, SSM, or Azure Automation. Monitor and optimize cloud environments using CloudWatch, Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, and related tools. Manage identity and access controls, enforce security best practices, and remediate vulnerabilities. Support application teams with networking, CI/CD integration, and performance tuning. Participate in on-call rotations and incident response for critical infrastructure issues. Lead cross-functional teams in delivering cloud-native and hybrid solutions, ensuring alignment with architectural vision. Establish and enforce standards, practices, and documentation across all software and infrastructure projects. 10+ years of experience in software/system architecture and cloud infrastructure, including hands-on AWS and Azure expertise. Proven experience with cloud services (EC2, VPC, IAM, S3, RDS, VMs, VNets, RBAC, Azure AD). Strong proficiency with Infrastructure-as-Code tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, or Bicep. Expertise in automation frameworks such as Ansible and scripting with Bash, PowerShell, or Python. Deep knowledge of Linux administration, networking fundamentals, CI/CD pipelines, and container platforms (EKS, AKS). Experience managing high-volume, high-availability systems with a focus on security and compliance. Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills. Ability to mentor junior engineers and provide strategic technical guidance. Preferred: AWS Certified SysOps Administrator – Associate or higher, Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator - Associate or higher. Experience in regulated environments (e.g., HIPAA, FedRAMP) and hybrid cloud or migration projects is a plus.
