This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Senior Software Engineer, Shared Services in the United States. This role offers an exciting opportunity to develop and maintain core platform services that power key customer-facing applications. You will work on systems such as authentication and notification services, ensuring high availability, scalability, and security. The position combines hands-on development, technical leadership, and cross-functional collaboration, allowing you to mentor engineers and improve overall platform quality. You will drive engineering best practices, automate processes, and continuously enhance the developer experience. Accountabilities · Design, develop, and maintain secure, reliable, and scalable platform services for critical business functionality. · Build shared libraries, internal tools, and APIs to increase developer productivity across teams. · Write clean, testable, and maintainable code while ensuring observability and monitoring of services. · Mentor and guide other engineers, promoting best practices and elevating team productivity. · Collaborate with stakeholders and engineers to define technical solutions, set engineering standards, and take ownership of the full service lifecycle. · Continuously improve engineering tools, deployment pipelines, and platform infrastructure. · Minimum 6 years of professional experience designing, building, and scaling services, particularly on cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure. · Expertise in distributed systems, platform services, authentication, and notification systems. · Proficiency in TypeScript, Node.js, and PostgreSQL, with strong coding and software engineering practices. · Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with engineers and non-engineering stakeholders. · Strong ownership, proactive problem-solving, and ability to lead cross-functional projects from start to finish. · Ability to write clean, testable, and maintainable code, with a focus on reliability and scalability. · Customer-focused mindset with empathy and attention to operational excellence.
