This role offers the opportunity to drive the design and development of critical risk management systems that safeguard users and the business. You will build scalable APIs, distributed systems, and decision engines to mitigate credit and fraud risk while enabling seamless user experiences across web and mobile platforms. Working closely with product, design, and engineering teams, you will influence high-impact features and solutions that support strategic goals. Accountabilities · Design, develop, and maintain high-scale APIs and distributed systems to support risk and fraud mitigation. · Build and enhance decision platforms, machine learning pipelines, and analytics frameworks for enterprise risk management. · Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including product, design, and engineering to deliver new features across web and mobile platforms. · Ensure high availability, reliability, and performance of systems, leveraging observability and monitoring tools. · Implement microservices, RESTful APIs, and scalable architectures on cloud infrastructure (AWS). · Mentor junior engineers and promote best practices within the engineering team. · 6+ years of professional software development experience. · 5+ years of hands-on experience with Java and Java Spring Boot framework. · 2+ years of experience with React or React Native and TypeScript for web and mobile UI development. · Strong experience with microservices, REST APIs, message queues, and scalable distributed systems. · Hands-on experience with AWS services including EKS, Aurora RDS, Elasticache, DynamoDB, and containerization tools. · Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure as code (CDK, Terraform), and monitoring/observability tools such as DataDog. · Experience in risk engineering, fraud detection, or decision engine systems is preferred. · Strong collaboration, problem-solving, and communication skills with cross-functional teams. · Competitive base salary and total compensation package based on experience. · 100% company-paid medical, dental, and vision insurance. · 401(k) retirement plan with company equity. · Unlimited paid time off and 13 company-paid holidays. · Parental leave and wellness programs. · Flexible and inclusive work environment with opportunities for professional growth.
